Russell Haveman was born and raised in Tennessee. He graduated from Southern Adventist University with a certificate in Auto-body Repair. While attending Southern, he met his wife Valerie and helped her buy her first car and it has been a romantic ride ever since. They have three children, one of which was adopted from Ethiopia.  Before coming to Sunnydale they served in Tennessee, Nicaragua, and North Dakota. Russell has been at Sunnydale for eight years. Russell & Valerie enjoy serving others, traveling, exploring nature, and beaches. Russell’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He is committed to using his skills to serve God and making the SAA campus a safe, comfortable, and inviting place where young people can come receive a Christian education.
