What's Your Story? - September

As the Communications Director for Sunnydale Adventist Academy, I usually remain the anonymous voice that shares our highs and lows with you. But today as I read through the survey answers from our students about why they are here at SAA and their plans to impact the world, my heart and eyes are overflowing. Praise God! Praise Him for each of these students, for the opportunity we have as teachers not only to influence them for the future and shine the light of Jesus into their lives for such a brief, but that we sometimes get to see behind the curtain and see what God is doing in their lives. He is growing and leading a new generation into relationship with Himself. He is calling leaders and evangelists from the hearts of our students. This is not a new phenomenon; He has been working on this campus since before its doors opened. And I am grateful, so honored to be a part of it and to share it with you. So I pray that you will continue to pray for our students and staff, for the parents, donors, and Alumni of Sunnydale Adventist Academy as we pursue the heart of God until that day we are all together in Heaven soon!

~ Mrs. Kristen Kuehmichel
Communications and Development Director, SAA

I'm here at SAA because I love it here. I love leading and helping other people out. That's the same reason I love being an RA and a leader in ASB on campus. The first year here, I looked for every reason to hate it; the food, the people, the phone rule, but when I actually looked at my life, I realized this school is probably the best thing to happen to me. These last two years I've been doing everything I can to be the leader and helper I know I can be and I'm so happy with where I am now. That's why I love Sunnydale.”

“I want to make a good impact in the world by helping others and showing Christ through my actions. Whether it's what job I choose in the future or my family they can see Christ though me.”

~ Brock D

“I know I can't change the world or anything, but I just want to live a good life and try to have an impact on others life through Christ. I’m typically a fun, happy person, and one thing I love the most is making other people laugh. If I can make someone have a good day by laughing with them, I consider that an impact because you never know what was happening, and me making them laugh could change their day. And that makes me happy :)”

~ Ali W

“I want to show people the truth and help wake them up from spiritual slumber, and I also want to give friendship to people.”

~ Oscar J*

“I want to live like Jesus and help anyone I can. I want to spread love and kindness. I want to help people to know their worth. I am at SAA because my whole family has attended here. I am here because I like that I don't have to feel like I'm in danger. I like that the atmosphere is filled with God.”
